Walking the Runway Again

Yet again I was honored to walk in this years Buffalo Bridal Expo at the Niagara Falls Casino. A super huge bridal runway show and event. I modeled dresses for the Bridal Chateau (located in Williamsville, NY) I modeled 3 beauiful gowns, that always compliment my figure. ( yes my hips and booty ) This was my 5th Buffalo Bridal expo, with the Bridal Chateau & Buffalo Bridal Association.

Also I had the pleasure of walking with some amazing models, whom I have done runway with before, such a fun group of girls. We goofed off backstage, sang & danced along to all the songs that were playing, and even ate some free cake. ( Yes free cake samples, and yes they do feed the models.) Yes us models we do eat, we also can get along and not kill each other. Also yes we are running around half naked and in some cases naked backstage, but especially me I dont care. Its not awkward, your sole purpose is to be a coathanger. Get into your dress quickly, run so you can make your mark in line, get your que and out on the stage you go.

I modeled some amazing dresses, I got to rock the most expensive dress in the show. (Bragging rights in the modeling world) No blood was spilled this year ( Thank Gawd) In the 2014 show, I had a goregous mermaid style dress with a corset back. In order to get the dress on I had to step into it. I was wear 6inch heels, as I stepped into it, my heel brushed my leg. The assistant is tieing up the back and I feel warm blood dripping down my leg. Behold! I was bleeding pretty good, the lining of the dress had blood all in the inside. The shop owner grabs a napkin, packaging tape, and slaps it on my leg. The assistant finsihes my corset. Out the doors I ran, and out to the Runway. As Im walking I can feel the packing tape coming off. If that napkin fell off my leg, that would have been embarassing. I get back to the dressing room everyone acted like I was dieing. "Oh my god! Are you ok? Does that hurt?" No. Im worried about the $2,699 dress I just bled in!!!! The shop manager was like, "Eh dont worry it will come right out with peroxide" What a show that was.

Anyhow, Im typically not a runway model ( back in my prime, yes ) But I will always do enjoy modeling bridal gowns. Everyone looks beautiful with their hair done up, makeup on and dressed in a wedding gown. I have yet to see ( in person, not google search ) an ugly bride.

At the end of a very fun but yet exhausting day ( Yes 7am till 4pm, running on no sleep, long story, involves shenanigans with the guy friends. Worth it! ) Nothing like a good fist bump to end the show. Trust me, it looked waaaaaaay cooler in person.
